Let heaven praise the Lord:
praise Him, hosts above,
praise Him, shining angels,
praise Him, all the powers of heaven.

Praise Him, sun and moon,
praise Him, brilliant stars,
praise Him, highest skies,
and waters above the vault of heaven.

Let all creation praise the name of the Lord,
for by His word they came into being;
He established them in their places for all ages,
set firm by His enduring decree.

Let earth praise the Lord:
oceans with their depths,
creatures of the waters great and small,
lightning and rain, snow and mist,
winds that obey His command,

mountains and hills, fields and forests,
wild beasts and tame animals,
creeping creatures and birds of the air,

kings of the nations and all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth,
young men and young women,
old men and children together.

Let them all praise the name of the Lord,
for His name alone is exalted,
His splendor rises above earth and heaven,
and He lifts the strength of His people,
a praise for His faithful ones,
for Israel, the people close to His heart.
