Bring Ye All the Tithes

By Helen E. Rasmussen

Lyrics

1. Hear the words of Scripture from the ages past,
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse."
Make a consecration that will ever last,
Trusting for the promised blessing.
Chorus:
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,
And prove me now," saith the Lord of hosts;
And I will pour you out a blessing,
There shall not be room enough to receive it."
2. Do you seek to know the Holy Spirit's pow'r?
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse."
Live in sweet communion with Him hour by hour,
While He gives the promised blessing.
3. Is there aught that stands between you and your Lord?
"Bring ye all the tithes into storehouse."
Bring them on conditions promised in His word,
And He'll pour you out a blessing.
4. Lift your heart this moment, claim Him Lord and King,
As ye bring the tithes into the storehouse;"
Trust the blessed promise, and your praise shall ring.
From the heart He is possessing.
5. Let the anthems roll in grandeur thro' the skies,
Having bro't the tithes into the storehouse;
Joyous hallelujahs from our hearts arise.
For we have the promised blessing.

About This Hymn

“Bring Ye All the Tithes” by Helen E. Rasmussen is a devotional hymn emphasizing faithful giving and trust in God’s provision. Drawing primarily from Malachi 3:10, the hymn encourages believers to present their tithes and offerings joyfully, recognizing that all resources come from God and that generous giving is an expression of worship and obedience. The hymn underscores the biblical principle that honoring God with one’s possessions opens the door to His blessing, both spiritually and materially, while also supporting the work of the church in proclaiming the gospel and ministering to those in need.

The text calls worshippers to wholehearted participation in God’s work, portraying giving as a sacred act that unites faith with action. Rasmussen highlights the reciprocal nature of God’s promises: when His people are faithful in their stewardship, He faithfully provides and sustains them. This reflects the broader biblical teaching on cheerful and proportionate giving, as described in 2 Corinthians 9, emphasizing the heart of the giver as much as the gift itself. The hymn’s words also remind believers that faithful tithing fosters gratitude, humility, and reliance upon God rather than on worldly possessions.

Musically, the hymn is typically set to a bright, uplifting melody that inspires congregational participation. Its rhythm and tune reinforce the joyful nature of giving, transforming an act of duty into an opportunity for worship and celebration. The hymn is especially suitable for offerings, stewardship campaigns, or services focused on the faithfulness of God and the believer’s response in practical obedience.

“Bring Ye All the Tithes” continues to resonate with congregations because it connects spiritual devotion with daily life and tangible acts of faith. Helen E. Rasmussen’s hymn reminds worshippers that generosity is not merely an obligation but a privilege, allowing God’s work to flourish while deepening the giver’s own spiritual walk. Through its scriptural grounding and uplifting message, the hymn encourages believers to trust God fully, honor Him faithfully, and rejoice in the blessings that flow from a life devoted to His service.
