Alexcenah Thomas

Alexander Stewart was a hymn writer active in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He was born in 1843 and died in 1923. Standard hymnological reference works do not preserve further biographical information regarding his place of birth, education, ministerial service, denominational affiliation, or professional career.

Stewart is known through his authorship of hymn texts included in English-language Christian hymnals. Hymnary.org records three texts attributed to him.
