Eleanor Allen Schroll

Eleanor Allen Schroll was born in 1878 in Newport, Kentucky, United States. She lived during a period when gospel music flourished in churches, Sunday schools, and revival meetings, and she became one of the most productive contributors to that tradition. She passed away on January 8, 1966, in Daytona Beach, Florida, and was laid to rest in Southgate, Kentucky.

Schroll is remembered primarily for her extensive work as a hymn writer.
