Christopher Dwayne Tomlin was born on May 4, 1972, in Grand Saline, Texas, United States. He is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Tomlin studied at Texas A&M University and later at Integrity Music’s Artist Development program.

He is associated with the Passion movement, serving as a worship leader at Passion conferences and events. Tomlin has written or co written numerous worship songs that are widely used in evangelical churches. His works frequently draw directly from biblical texts and traditional Christian themes.

Tomlin’s songs include “How Great Is Our God,” “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” “Holy Is the Lord,” “Our God,” and “Good Good Father” as a co writer. His music appears in many modern hymnals and worship song collections.
