Jeffery Rowthorn

Jeffrey Rowthorn is a contemporary Anglican priest, hymn writer, liturgist, and theologian whose work has contributed significantly to modern English-language hymnody and worship resources. He is especially known for texts that combine poetic clarity with strong theological reflection, often used in ecumenical and liturgical settings.

Rowthorn was born in England and was educated for ministry within the Anglican tradition. He later served as an ordained priest in the Church of England before moving to the United States, where he continued his ministry and academic work in theology and liturgy.
