"A fulness resides in Jesus our Head" is an eighteenth-century hymn by the English Baptist pastor and poet John Fawcett. Focused on the theme of the "Fulness of Christ," the hymn was first published in Fawcett's collection, Hymns adapted to the Circumstances of Public Worship and Private Devotion, in 1782 as entry number 96. In its original form, the lyric was structured in five stanzas of eight lines.

The hymn was subsequently reprinted in the highly influential Selection of Hymns from the Best Authors, compiled by the Baptist minister John Rippon. Rippon's volume, which served as a primary source for Baptist congregational singing for many years, helped ensure the wide dissemination of Fawcett's work. Like many of Fawcett's lyrics, it was prized for its biblically rooted, evangelical fervor, and it became a staple in congregations that emphasized the sufficiency and grace of Christ.
